Sequim city officials and business leaders will celebrate the completion of a $4.76 million downtown revitalization project at noon today with a ribbon-cutting ceremony in the intersection of Washington Street and Sequim Avenue.
The event coincides with a commemoration of National Small Cities and Towns Day.
The federally funded revitalization project, finished last month, including street and sidewalk improvements to a mile-long stretch of Washington, Bell and Cedar streets as well as several north-south and arterial streets; aesthetic improvements such as new lighting fixtures; textured walkways and benches; and reconfigured parking designations on downtown streets.
