SEQUIM — The Sequim-Dungeness Valley Chamber of Commerce leadership could turn over again. Or not.
At a special meeting March 20, all current chamber members will have the opportunity to vote to remove any or all members of the governing board.
They can then vote to amend chamber bylaws to provide for special elections of up to 12 new officials.
The meeting will be at 6 p.m. at the Guy Cole Convention Center in Carrie Blake Park, 202 N. Blake Ave., Sequim.
Walt Schubert, the chamber board president, sent notices of the gathering to more than 400 members late Friday afternoon.
Acknowledging that he “can get emotional about this,” Schubert hopes hundreds will respond to his invitation.
He emphasized, however, that only the members whose dues are current may participate.
