SEQUIM — The City Council authorized the rezoning of 3.4 acres on the south side of the city after a public hearing Monday night.
The property, owned by Donalie and Albert Moote, is targeted for a residential development of seven units, said Ken Clark of Clark Land Office in Sequim, agent for the Mootes’ application.
Because of regulations under the state Environmental Protection Act, the hearing took the form of a quasi-judicial process to either uphold or deny city Planning Director Dennis Lefevre’s issuing of a determination of nonsignificance for the rezone.
No one spoke against the rezone.
