SEQUIM — Construction of one of the city’s largest-ever transportation and revitalization projects could begin as soon as next month.
The City Council voted Monday night to award a $3.76 million contract for a multifaceted project that will include the reconstruction and widening of Washington Street in the downtown core.
Lakeside Industries of Port Angeles submitted the lowest of two bids for the project, which will be funded mostly through grants from the federal and state governments.
