SEQUIM — A final decision on whether Wal-Mart will build a “superstore” on the city’s west side has been delayed by at least two weeks so the City Council can continue an appeals process begun in May.
The council heard several hours of testimony Monday night from three parties who filed appeals challenging the city staff’s preliminary approval on the 40-acre, 194,000-square-foot “superstore” project.
Council members also gave Wal-Mart representatives an opportunity to respond to appellants’ concerns before the session broke up after 1 a.m. Tuesday.
