SEQUIM — The general public today gets to tell the City Council what it thinks of the large retail development planned at the west side of Sequim.
Starting this morning, the City Council will hear testimony on appeals challenging the city’s preliminary approval of a large retail development that includes a Home Depot home improvement warehouse outlet on Washington Street.
The 9 a.m. hearing will be held in the cozy Sequim Community Center, 190 W. Cedar St.
Loudspeakers will be set up in the adjacent parking lot to accommodate the expected overflow crowd.
“We don’t know how long this will go on, truthfully,” City Manager Bill Elliott said.
“We could be there a very long time.”
