Clallam County commissioners agreed Tuesday to purchase more than three acres of the historical Hyer Farm near Sequim.
The county will buy the parcel for $112,500 from the state Department of Transportation.
Commissioner Mike Doherty, D-Port Angeles, called the purchase a good deal because the parcel is adjacent to a county road maintenance shop and could be used for future expansion of the shop or for sand and gravel storage.
