SEQUIM — A trend in forums for candidates to be the first elected director of the Community Development Department continued Thursday during an event sponsored by the League of Women Voters.
Bob Martin, the current appointed director, and Rob Robertsen continued to throw verbal jabs at each other, while the third candidate, John H. Miller, took a less aggressive stance.
About 30 people attended the forum in the Sequim Community Center which marked the fifth time the candidates have squared off in preparation for the Sept. 16 primary election, which will narrow the field to two names on the November general election ballot.
The trio appeared at another forum Thursday night at the Port Angeles Public Library.
