SEQUIM — The city of Sequim will begin construction at its Hemlock Street shop facility on Monday.
Crews from Frederickson-based Pacific Civil and Infrastructure will install water, sewer and power lines to the facility, located at 169 W. Hemlock St., along with road restoration and other associated work.
In addition to work at the shop, residents will see construction on Hemlock Street between Sequim and Second avenues; on Second Avenue between Hammond and Hemlock streets; and on Third Avenue between Pine and Hammond streets.
Work will generally take place between 7 a.m. and 6 p.m. on weekdays.
The project is expected to take 10 to 12 weeks to complete.
Drivers can expect delays, localized closures and detours during work hours, but resident access will be provided.
During the project, the glass recycling facility at 501 S. Second Ave. will be closed. Residents can use the facility at Evergreen Collision, 703 E. Washington St.
