SEQUIM — With little discussion and no fireworks, City Council members approved a large subdivision project Monday that had been the focus of long and contentious public hearings during the approval process.
Cedar Ridge Associates can now start work on building 236 single-family homes on about 64 acres to the northeast of Spyglass and Lofgrin roads.
An earlier public hearing had been continued to Monday night to allow the developers to address concerns about view corridors of neighboring property owners, buffers and height restrictions, and accommodating the Sequim elk herd, which uses the area as the animals move across their traditional range.
