SEQUIM — A pair of downtown projects moved ahead Monday night as the City Council approved a revitalization design and awarded the bid for improvements on North Sequim Avenue.
The council gave unanimous approval to the downtown revitalization design after council members and city staff worked with business owners during the past week to iron out rough spots centered around potential loss of property owners.
Councilman John Beitzel and Public Works Director Jim Bay reported issues concerning Kettel’s 76 gas station, the Sequim-Dungeness Hospital Guild Thrift Shop and Thomas Lumber had been solved to everyone’s satisfaction.
The council’s action includes moving a bike path from Second Avenue to Third Avenue.
