SEQUIM — The next superintendent of schools will travel across the state to take his new job.

Garn Christensen, superintendent of the Chewelah School District, was voted unanimously to the Sequim position by the School Board on Monday night.

He succeeds Mike Joyner, who resigned effective the end of this school year after four years with the district.
