An eighth person was arrested Sunday in connection with an alleged drug operation police say was masked by a Sequim trucking company.
Ward J. Davis, 36, of Long Branch, was arrested Sunday, said Clallam County Undersheriff Fred DeFrang. Davis was arrested in the rural Pierce County town.
“We are still looking for at least one more person in this round,” DeFrang said. He added that the financial and other records seized in the raids were important than the “contraband” taken.
Some of those items seized Saturday at a residence on Old Dad’s Road in Sequim included vehicles, motorcycles, snowmobiles, boats, an ultralight plane, a dump truck, bulldozer and a backhoe.
“We are just mopping up today, picking up a few more things,” DeFrang said.
Officers returned to the Sequim residence Sunday morning to seize the bulldozer, which wouldn’t start Saturday night, he said.
