SEQUIM — More than 300 people went to a public forum on health care Saturday hoping to find out how they’d be affected by the resignations of seven physicians from Virginia Mason Clinic.
When they left a little more than two hours later, they had been reassured the doctors will remain in the Sequim-Dungeness Valley.
Many forum-goers were also clamoring for federal lawmakers to equalize reimbursements for Medicare and Medicaid.
In November, the resignations of physicians Charles Sullivan, Roger and Kari Olsen, Michael W. Crim, Joel Finman, Rebecca Corley and Claire Haycox from the Seattle-based health-care organization became public knowledge.
Since then patients have wondered if they would be left without doctors when the resignations became effective at the end of March.
