SEQUIM — Just over $163,000 was awarded Monday by representatives of the Albert Haller Foundation to an assortment of non-profit groups, community-based programs and organizations in Clallam County.
Since 1991, the foundation named for an area logger and landowner, has awarded money each year to entities varying from Hospice of Clallam County to Sequim Little League; from Northwest Services Council to the Peninsula Dispute Resolution Center.
This year, 46 checks were handed out by foundation board members Gary Smith and co-members Garn Christensen and Gary Cohn, schools superintendents in Sequim and Port Angeles, respectively.
