SEQUIM — A two-vehicle accident closed U.S. Highway 101 east of Sequim for about 90 minutes Monday morning.
Traffic was re-routed along West Sequim Bay Road. Both drivers were treated at Olympic Memorial Hospital in Port Angeles and released.
State Patrol Trooper Ken Ahrens said one of the drivers — Chhrick Sem, 19, of Seattle — suffered only facial cuts after her 1994 Honda Acura slid across the highway into the path of a 1990 Chevrolet S-10 pickup truck driven by Robert Hart, 49, of Sequim, shortly before 10 a.m.
Hart had only bumps and bruises, a hospital spokesman said.
