SEQUIM — A 65-year-old man from Sequim has died from injuries suffered in a crash on Interstate 90 in Central Washington.
The State Patrol said today that Alfred W. Crampton died Sunday evening at Harborview Medical Center in Seattle from injuries he sustained in the crash on Thursday on the freeway about 19 miles east of Ellensburg.
His wife, Theresa A. Crampton, 61, who was driving the pickup truck pulling a travel trailer, remained in Harborview today for treatment of head injuries. She was listed in satisfactory condition.
Troopers reported that the 2005 Ford F-150 pickup Theresa Crampton was driving was eastbound on the freeway when the 26-foot travel trailer it was towing began to swing back and forth.
The trailer disconnected and landed on its side, while the truck struck a guardrail and rolled down an embankment.
