PORT ANGELES — A 72-year-old motorcyclist was listed in stable condition at Olympic Medical Center on Wednesday after he was thrown from his Honda on Tuesday.
Thomas R. Light of Sequim was eastbound on U.S. Highway 101 behind a vehicle, which was not involved in the wreck, according to the State Patrol.
The vehicle slowed and Light braked. His motorcycle swerved to the right and he was thrown from it as it entered the eastbound ditch, the State Patrol said.
The reporting State Patrol trooper said Light was following too closely.
He was wearing a helmet. Neither drugs nor alcohol were involved in the crash.
His Honda was removed by a private party, the State Patrol said.
