SEQUIM — Jean Ernst has never seen an Olympic Theater Arts production.
But she was among the first to donate when she heard that the nonprofit theater group was purchasing the former Sequim Boys & Girls Club building in the 400 block of North Sequim Avenue for a new theater.
The 83-year-old Ernst is a patron of the arts, but she wasn’t able to climb the stairs to Olympic Theater Arts’ current home at Howard Wood Theater at the corner of Washington and Seal streets because she’s had reconstructive surgery on both knees.
“I’ll be there as soon as it opens,” Ernst said of the new theater. “I’m anxious for that.”
