A 37-foot sloop found adrift and unmanned in Dungeness Bay last week has been taken to John Wayne Marina near Sequim.
Coast Guard officials said the sailboat will be turned over to “the next of kin”‘ of Ralph Ferguson, the missing 62-year-old sailor who owned the boat.
Ferguson is presumed missing in the Strait of Juan de Fuca.
The sloop was found last Thursday after he reportedly set sail from Victoria.
Nine major units of the United States and Canadian Coast Guards spent 90 hours searching for Ferguson over an area covering several hundred square miles.
