SEQUIM — Sequim Aquatic Recreation Center users can expect to pay more to use the pool.
Beginning in January, users will pay sales tax in addition to admission prices.
They could see an across-the-board 25 percent rate increase if the center’s maintenance and operations levy fails in the Nov. 5 general election.
Previously, sales tax has been included in the admission price to the Clallam County Park and Recreation District No. 1’s only facility.
But publicly elected commissioners voted Tuesday night to pass that tax onto users no matter what happens on the Nov. 5 ballot.
