SEQUIM — The search for a new Sequim Community School principal started Tuesday following the unexpected resignation of the person appointed in mid-June.
Laura Anderson, who was principal at Sequim Middle School, resigned effective at the end of this month to take a position in her hometown of Poulsbo.
Anderson had been middle school principal for two years before succeeding Rita Thatcher as Sequim Community School principal.
Thatcher resigned after 29 years with the school district.
Anderson and her attorney met with School Board members Monday in executive session to discuss a complaint she had filed.
Neither Anderson nor Joyner would discuss the complaint.
