SEQUIM — Just a little more than two weeks before the start of a new school year, the School Board on Monday night adopted a $19 million operating budget for 2003-04.
The budget represents an increase of about $1.1 million over last year’s projected budget. The actual operating budget for 2002-03 has not been finalized.
Superintendent Garn Christensen, overseeing his first budgeting process as head of Sequim schools, announced receiving a $100,000 federal renovation grant which slightly increased the budget total he proposed at the board’s last meeting.
