SEQUIM — Sequim School Board President Beverly Horan was cited for negligent driving Friday after her motor home collided with a pickup truck on U.S. Highway 101 at Schoolhouse Point Road.
The State Patrol said Horan, 66, was uninjured in the crash. One of four juvenile passengers in her 29-foot Shasta motor home was treated at the scene for a head bruise. All were wearing seat belts.
The driver of the Washington State Parks pickup, Randy Rondeau, 33, of Sequim, was uninjured.
According to the State Patrol, Rondeau’s 2001 GMC Sonoma was stopped eastbound on the highway waiting to turn left when the eastbound motor home struck it.
Both vehicles were towed from the scene 2.5 miles east of Sequim.
No alcohol or drugs were involved in the collision, investigators said.
