SEQUIM — Less than a month after being named to the position, Laura Anderson resigned as principal at Sequim Community School on Monday night.
Anderson, who had been Sequim Middle School principal for two years before being named to the community school post, told the School Board that she was taking a job that would allow her to work closer to her family in Poulsbo.
Anderson said the timing of taking a position at a different school was good because she was in a period of job transition anyway.
Anderson and her attorney met with the School Board in a 30-minute executive session, after Monday night’s regular board meeting ended.
She acknowledged she had filed an employee complaint, but wouldn’t elaborate.
