SEQUIM — The Sequim School District plans two kindergarten readiness meetings.
One is set from 6 p.m. to 7 p.m. Wednesday, April 15, at Helen Haller Elementary, 350 W. Fir St., in the school’s library.
A similar meeting will be from 4 p.m. to 5:30 p.m. Monday, May 4, at Greywolf Elementary, 171 Carlsborg Road, Carlsborg.
Parents will have the opportunity to meet and talk with the principal and kindergarten teachers.
Information about curriculum, first-day expectations, how parents can prepare their children, busing, immunization requirements and the importance of attendance will be presented.
For kindergarten registration, a parent or legal guardian should bring a child’s official birth certificate or passport, record of immunization dates and proof of residency.
Acceptable forms of proof of residency include rent/lease agreements, driver’s license or a current bill with the address listed.
