SEQUIM — Saying he needs to devote more time to his family and business, Bill Thomas on Monday confirmed that he will resign from the City Council in the next 30 days.
Thomas’ planned resignation comes less than two weeks after Trina Berg confirmed her decision to resign from the council.
And it comes two weeks after the council picked Patricia Kasovia-Schmitt to succeed Dave Anders, who resigned at the end of March.
Thomas, Berg and Anders were the last three council members who helped guide the city’s move from mayor-council to council-manager form of government after voters approved the change in 1995.
Berg, like Thomas, said family and business needed more of her time in confirming her announced resignation.
Anders resigned from the council because he moved outside the city limit. He referred to his resignation as “retirement.”
