SEQUIM — Peggy Adams, horticulturist and landscaper for the Jamestown S’Klallam Indian Tribe, will lead the public on a nature walkabout Saturday at Railroad Bridge Park.
The presentation is the first in the seasonal Summer River Talk series presented by the Rainshadow Natural Science Foundation.
Adams will give a brief talk on how the Jamestown S’Klallam have historically used native plants.
As she leads the walk, Adams will focus on identifying and discussing the plants in the park and their everyday uses for tribal members in the past and present.
The presentation begins at 10 a.m. and will last about an hour.
