SHINE — A Sequim woman was taken to Olympic Medical Center after a collision at the intersection of state Highways 104 and 19 last week.
Janice M. Cardoza, 75, was taken by ambulance to OMC in Port Angeles after the 5:30 p.m. Thursday wreck, the State Patrol said.
She was not listed on the hospital’s patient roster Saturday.
She was a passenger in a maroon Nissan Pathfinder headed west on state Highway 104 as the driver, Richard D. Cardoza, 74, approached the junction with state Highway 19.
Henry N. Lovekamp, 16, was stopped at Highway 19 at the junction in a red 1993 Toyota pickup truck and turned onto Highway 104 in front of the Cardozas, according to the State Patrol.
The truck struck the Nissan head-on, according to the State Patrol, which attributed the cause of the wreck to a failure to yield by Lovekamp.
Neither Lovekamp nor Richard Cardoza was reported injured.
Both the Toyota and the Nissan were destroyed, the State Patrol said.
All involved were wearing seat belts.
