Sequim: Youth, 15, accused of selling pot at school

SEQUIM — An investigation into rifle bullets found at Sequim Middle School last week netted several arrests of middle schoolers accused of possessing or using alcohol and marijuana.

It also found a student who is accused of filching marijuana from his parents’ drawer and selling it to his friends at school.

That 15-year-old student was charged Friday in Clallam County juvenile court with delivery of marijuana.

On June 14, a student found hunting ammunition in a hallway corner at Sequim Middle School. School officials were notified, and then called the police.

During the investigation, a student told a Sequim police officer that a boy had sold a small amount of marijuana to another boy earlier this month, court documents say.

The suspect told officers that he took marijuana belonging to his parents, brought it to school, and sold it to another boy for $20, the documents say.

A few days later, he returned to his parents’ drawer and took some more marijuana. He brought it to school and gave it to another boy. This time he did not get any money for it, he allegedly told investigators.

Bail was set at $1,000 cash, and he was ordered to “maintain adult supervision” and “follow the rules of home” if and when he was released from custody, documents say.
