SEQUIM — The Sequim School District supply donation drive will culminate in a Stuff the Bus event from 2 p.m. to 6 p.m. today.
Donors are invited to bring school supplies to a school bus parked at the Walmart Supercenter at 1110 W. Washington St., Sequim.
A school bus driver will be on hand to provide information about bus routes and school transportation. At the store’s entrance, shoppers can find a list of school supplies needed and can drop off as they leave purchased items in collection bins at the store’s main entrance.
Donations for the Sequim School District also can be made through today in bins at Sequim Community Church at 950 N. Fifth Ave.; Walmart at 1110 W. Washington St.; KSQM 91.5 FM headquarters at 577 W. Washington St., Suite C; and J.C. Penney at 651 W. Washington St.
Monetary donations can be dropped off at the Sequim unit of the Boys &Girls Clubs of the Olympic Peninsula at 400 W. Fir St.
The Port Angeles School District held its Stuff the Bus event earlier this month, but donations can be left at the Port Angeles School District Central Services Building, 216 Fourth St., across from the Clallam County Courthouse.
The Back to School Event for Port Angeles families in need will be held from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 19, at Jefferson Elementary School, 218 E. 12th St.
