SEQUIM — Clallam County Sheriff Bill Benedict will field questions from local Democrats at a town hall meeting today in Sequim.
The meeting will begin at 7 p.m. at Pioneer Park, 387 E. Washington St.
The event is co-sponsored by the Clallam Democratic Club, a social and educational organization for Democrats.
Benedict ran unopposed in last year’s election. The sheriff’s position is non-partisan.
Clallam County Democratic Party Chairman Matthew Randazzo said the questions will be open-ended.
He said possible topics are the county’s prescription drug take-back program and the medical marijuana controversy.
The event was originally planned for April 15 but moved to today because of scheduling conflicts.
