The Hood Canal Bridge was closed for about an hour Tuesday after a motor home clipped utility lines on the bridge.
State Department of Transportation spokesman Lloyd Brown said he wasn”t sure if the cables were telephone or electrical.
Both Qwest Communications and Puget Sound Energy were dispatched to repair the lines around 10:30 a.m.
One passer-by said it looked like the power was out because electric signs on the bridge appeared to be blacked out.
By 11:30 a.m. the bridge was reopened to traffic.
Traffic backed up for several miles on both sides of the floating bridge.
