Brian King, the chief criminal deputy for the Clallam County Sheriff’s Office, is among more than 100 volunteers from a dozen agencies to participate in the Shop with a Hero program at Wal-Mart in Port Angeles.
About 80 kids from the community got to go on a shopping spree with law enforcement officers from Port Angeles, Sequim and other agencies and spend $100 however they wished. They also had a chance to take photos with Santa, sip on hot chocolate, decorate cookies and see police vehicles up close.
