SEQUIM — Those looking to capture their share of Dungeness stardom can give it a go at the fourth annual Karaoke Idol contest Tuesday, July 28.
Part of Sequim’s weekly Music in the Park summer series, the winner will receive $100, with second place $50 and third $25.
Participants must be at least 13 years old and can not have performed professionally. You can perform as a single or in a group, but not both.
Registration will be first-come, first-served, starting at 5:15 p.m. on July 28. Only 18 applicants will perform.
To save time, bring a registration form and have your songs chosen. Contestants should be prepared to sing three songs from a karaoke library.

Audience members are encouraged to bring lawn chairs, blankets and picnic items to the event.
An audience sing-along will be held while judges deliberate.
