PORT ANGELES — The salmon are running at the southeast corner of Front and Oak streets downtown.
The Port Angeles Downtown Association’s Art on the Town Committee has finished installing “The Dance,” a bronze sculpture of a life-size salmon pair created by Port Angeles native Al Adams.
The artwork, purchased by the downtown association, was placed on a new pedestal with the assistance of Tabin Beckett and Vern Daugaard from the Port Angeles Public Works Department.
“The Dance” is the second of two sculptures by Adams currently on display downtown.
“Elwha Tears” sits at the northeast corner of First and Lincoln streets.
A call to artists from Washington and Oregon for the 2005-2006 Art on the Town exhibit has been sent out with a scheduled opening of June 4.
