CARLSBORG — Fire tore through a three-car garage at a house southwest of Sequim early Thursday morning, but it stopped short of significantly damaging the residence.
No one was hurt in the blaze, which was still under investigation.
The two residents had fled the 3,500-square-foot house when firefighters from Clallam County Fire District No. 3 responded to the call at 2:46 a.m., Assistant Chief Roger Moeder said.
Investigators believe the fire started in a stack of wood next to the garage, but are unsure exactly how it ignited, Moeder said.
Investigators do not consider the fire suspicious, he added.
