PORT TOWNSEND — Indiana-based singer-songwriter Bill Price, frontman of the Americana band the Brains behind Pa, is coming to the Uptown Pub & Grill, 1016 Lawrence St., this Thursday, Sept. 26, for a solo gig.
Show time will be 9 p.m. with no cover charge.
Price’s set lists mix original songs from his latest album, “With the Eye of a Skeptic and a Few Other Likely Stories,” his 2004 release “Bones and Apples” and his forthcoming record “I Can’t Stop Looking at the Sky.”
The 13 songs on “Eye of a Skeptic” have a narrative feel and structure, the artist says.
“I wanted these songs to be more in a traditional, singer-songwriter vein than most of my previous recordings,” he adds.
“Most everyone can relate to stories, and in that sense the songs are more accessible.”
