PORT TOWNSEND — The music and spirit of Malvina Reynolds, whose legacy includes “Little Boxes,” “Magic Penny,” “Morningtown Ride,” “God Bless the Grass” and other folk songs, will be cause for celebration at the Songwriting Works studio Wednesday night.
Singers Judith-Kate Friedman and Daniel Deardorff will host this gathering at 5:30 p.m., with admission by donation.
And since this is a sing-along and potluck, community members are invited to bring a Malvina Reynolds song, poem or story to share; a pillow or folding chair; healthful snacks — and their friends, said Friedman.
Wednesday’s event is part of Songwriting Works’ series in its newly expanded studio at 824 Grant St., No. 1, where the entrance is off Ninth and Sheridan streets.
