PORT ANGELES — The Port Angeles girls basketball team knocked the Bremerton Knights out of a tie for first place while coming within a half game of them in Olympic League action Tuesday night.
Port Angeles won 55-39 thanks to playing full-court press the whole game.
Maddy Hinrichs sparked the Roughriders with 15 points as they improved to 8-3 in league and 9-5 overall while Bremerton fell to 8-2 after being tied with Kingston at the top with one loss.
Port Angeles had lost by 17 to the Knights on the road in December.
