PORT ANGELES – The State Patrol confirmed Wednesday that a woman who voluntarily contacted troopers after reading about a fatal motorcycle crash the day before was the driver who apparently sent the motorcyclist off the road.
But the law enforcement agency has not identified the woman from the Sequim area or given out any more information about the wreck that killed Donald Niel Davison II, 51, of Sequim, a longtime Clallam County Road Department employee.
Trooper Brian George, a spokesman for the agency, said Wednesday that the State Patrol was confident that the women who called troopers on Tuesday was involved in the crash near the midpoint of the Morse Creek “S” curve Monday afternoon.
The woman had called to say she believed she was the driver of the Toyota that witnesses saw.
