Subarea open house slated for Port Townsend on Wednesday night

PORT TOWNSEND — A city open house about the Subarea Plan for Howard Street and Upper Sims Way will be held from 5:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. Wednesday.

Due to limited parking, event organizers urge those interested to carpool, walk or bicycle to the event at the Towne Point Club House, 2240 Towne Point Ave.

Comments from the first meeting June 28 as well as results from an online survey will be reviewed at the open house as the city shares some of its draft concepts.

The goal of the plan is to address the community’s vision and needs while clearly articulating the city’s expectations through development standards and regulations, the city said in a news release.
