The Malo Combo is

Sultry dance moves on tap at Port Townsend dance

PORT TOWNSEND — The nonprofit Olympic Peninsula Dance club will host a salsa and swing dance with the band Malo Combo this Friday night, and people of all ages and levels are invited to the party at the Port Townsend Elks Lodge, 555 Otto St.

A salsa, merengue and bachata lesson will start the festivities at 7 p.m., with band leader Malo Castro doing the teaching.

As always, participants don’t need to have partners.

Experienced dancers are encouraged to come help beginners throughout the lesson.

The Malo Combo steps up at 8 p.m. to play Latin and swing music till 10:30 p.m.

Admission, including the lesson, is $15 for adults, $10 for students with identification and $7 for youths 12 and younger.
