FORKS — Planning for the future of Forks Community Hospital is on hold while the hospital awaits the arrival of a new administrator.
Interim administrator John Sherrett said Camille Scott takes over the position April 1.
Scott is chief executive officer at Benewah County Hospital in St. Maries, Idaho, southwest of Coeur d’Alene.
Sherrett said the only major change he foresees is remodeling of the clinic at the hospital, 530 Bogachiel Way.
“We’ve added practitioners so the space is pretty cramped,” Sherrett said.
He said remodeling could take place in a about a year.
Forks Community Hospital is within Clallam County Hospital District No. 2.
The hospital district isn’t expected to make any major equipment purchases in the next year, Sherrett said.
The hospital district serves the area west of Lake Crescent.
