Once a week, as many as 10 people settle into comfortable chairs around a richly colored oval table in the administrative wing of Olympic Memorial Hospital to shape the future of health care in Clallam County.
After sharing a couple of light thoughts, the group — known simply as the senior management team — begins hours of discussion about Olympic Medical Center’s objectives for the next 18 months.
Olympic Medical Center is the public relations-developed name for Clallam County Public Hospital District No. 2, which stretches from the Clallam-Jefferson county line west to Lake Crescent.
The medical center includes Olympic Memorial Hospital, 939 Caroline St., Port Angeles.
Hospital Administrator Mike Glenn leads the team, which includes Joyce Cardinal of nursing services, Bertha Cooper of planning and development, Donna Davison of risk management, Richard Newman of human resources, Chief Financial Officer Eric Lewis, Ken Berkes of ancillary services and hospital spokeswoman Rhonda LoPresti.
Much of the time, one of seven publicly-elected district commissioners is also present.
