PORT ANGELES — Authorities Tuesday were searching for Aaron Scott Markishtum, a 30-year-old Port Angeles man suspected in a Joyce-area burglary.
Markishtum is wanted for investigation of first-degree burglary for allegedly taking jewelry and tools from a residence off state Highway 112 west of Port Angeles, Clallam County Sheriff’s Sgt. John Keegan said.
Markishtum is described as 6-foot-7 and weighing 220 pounds. He has brown hair and blue eyes.
Anyone with information about Markishtum’s whereabouts is asked to phone 9-1-1.
Clallam County Sheriff’s Sgt. John Keegan said there were several burglaries in the Joyce area last weekend.
There were no other suspects or persons of interest as of Tuesday.
“We’re still putting all the reports together,” Keegan said.
Markishtum has ties to the Makah and Lower Elwha Klallam reservations, Keegan said.
He has a criminal history that includes convictions in burglary and trafficking in stolen property, Keegan added.
