Some local and state leaders said $30.5 million to construct the U.S. Highway 101 East Sequim Road Project — including completion of the Simdars Road interchange — could be moved to in-progress larger projects if Initiative 2117 passes as state transportation funds may be reduced to compensate for reduced funding for efforts to reduce the state’s carbon footprint.
