PORT LUDLOW — The tall ships Lady Washington and Hawaiian Chieftain will make a three-day stop during their summer tour of Puget Sound ports.
The vessels are scheduled to arrive at Port Ludlow Marine, 1 Gull Drive, on Tuesday, Aug. 5, and stay until Thursday, Aug. 7.
Both vessels will offer public tours and two-hour evening sails during the visit.
Walk-on tours are schedule for Aug. 6 and 7 from noon to 5 p.m. Participants can speak to crews, who will be dressed in period costumes.
A donation of $3 per person is suggested. No reservations are required.
An evening sail for the Lady Washington is from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. Aug. 6.
A sail on the Hawaiian Chieftain is from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. Aug. 7.
These two-hour excursions boast an opportunity to learn about the maritime history of the Pacific Northwest.
Guests are invited to help raise a sail, learn a sea chantey and take the helm of the ship (conditions permitting).
Evening sails are $33 per person.
