Teen drowns in Kitsap County lake

BREMERTON — A Kitsap County sheriff’s officer says a 13-year-old boy has drowned at Wildcat Lake.

The Poulsbo boy had been swimming with family and friends off a large circular raft on Thursday. Sheriff’s spokesman Scott Wilson says the boy’s uncle told officials the teen had reported feeling tired shortly before he disappeared in the water.

The Kitsap Sun reports the boy’s body was found in 20 feet of water about 25 feet from shore.
