The boards of local government agencies will meet next week on the North Olympic Peninsula. Jefferson County commissioners do not meet this week, the fifth week of the month.
Joint meeting
The Jefferson County Planning Commission and the Port Townsend Planning Commission will discuss temporary housing of the unhoused during a joint meeting at 5:30 p.m. Wednesday.
The meeting is in the Tri-Area Community Center, 10 West Valley Road, Chimacum.
The discussion will be preceded by staff presentations recapping the work already done and defining terms.
Clallam County
The three Clallam County commissioners will conduct a public hearing regarding several debatable budget emergencies during their weekly business meeting at 10 a.m. Tuesday.
The commissioners’ work session, at 9 a.m. Monday, will preview items set for action at their Tuesday formal meeting.

• An agreement with the Clallam Conservation District for $125,000 for renewable resource conservation planning and implementation.
• An agreement with Port Angeles Baseball for $60,000 for the volunteer field turf project.
• A review of the county’s stewardship of $15,020,640 of American Rescue Plan Act funding.
• An update to the Roads Department’s right-of-way procedures.
• Certification of the 2023 Road Levy and Estimated Revenue Produced.
